Dr. Jeff Lai received his Ph. D. in chemical and biomolecular engineering with a Baldwin Fellowship from Lehigh University. He also holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from National Taiwan University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from National Chung Hsing University. Dr. Lai’s research work has been published in several prestigious international science journals and has focused on chemical and biochemical catalysis, reaction engineering, and operando in-situ spectroscopy. It was during his time doing AP Exams and standardized test prep with students that ignited Dr. Lai’s desire to work more with middle and high school students. After years of research and academic consulting, Dr. Lai is very excited to follow his passion for teaching science to these grade levels in a full-time role.
