Ms. Medeiros has both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Educational Theatre from New York University. A passionate advocate for arts integration, Ms. Medeiros has worked with organizations such as Kinship Theatre Collective, NYU Shakespeare To Go, and the Verbatim Performance Lab, which use theatre to illuminate other subjects such as literature, science, and civics. In a world that is becoming increasingly automated, drama offers incredible opportunities to find connections with each other and our communities. As a multi-hyphenate theatre artist, Ms. Medeiros enjoys collaborating on projects that challenge expectations and engage audiences in meaningful conversations. When directing young artists, she views the rehearsal room as an extension of the classroom. Each production is a new opportunity for students to become more effective storytellers and communicators, and more empathetic neighbors.
