Ms. Waryniak earned her Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College and has been a dedicated professional in educational administration since 2011. Before joining our community, she served as the Director of Operations for St. Athanasius School and as an Operations Manager for Ascend Charter School. Ms. Waryniak joined BASIS Independent Manhattan in May 2021, where she spent four years as our Lower School Director of Operations before being named Head of Operations in 2026. Her primary goal is to lead and strengthen systems that directly support student success. She is passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive, and efficient operational environment that empowers our staff and builds trust with our families.

A native Upper Westsider, Ms. Waryniak is most excited to connect with the vibrant and diverse BASIS Independent Manhattan community across both of our campuses. When she is not in the office, she enjoys exploring the city’s many donut shops, traveling to new places, and spending time with her family.
