Ms. LaPierre holds a master’s degree in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Having earned her degrees from schools in Connecticut and Massachusetts, she holds state teaching certification in both states. For the past nine years, Ms. LaPierre has been a dedicated educator in the BASIS Curriculum Schools network, teaching across charter, independent, and online settings. At BASIS Scottsdale Primary, she served as a Subject Expert Teacher (SET) for grades 2–3, specializing in Math & Science. After two years, she returned to the East Coast to be closer to family and joined BASIS Independent Brooklyn as a Learning Expert Teacher for grade 3. During the pandemic, Ms. LaPierre transitioned to the BASIS Independent Online team, where she taught both Math & Science and served as a Learning Expert Teacher. Currently, she is a Math Subject Expert Teacher for grades 3–5.
