Unveiling AI's Impact: Revolutionizing Construction Safety with eSafety Systems
In my senior project, I will be exploring the usage of AI technology in the safety industry. I will be working with eSafety Systems; a company that produces software for construction safety. I am primarily working with marketing materials and doing market research on competition throughout this industry. My project will employ this market research, including price points, effectiveness of the software itself, audience and reach, and most importantly the usage of AI technology. My goal is to explore this unlikely field that has been greatly affected by AI technology and along the way, improve the marketing and audience to reach of eSafety Systems.

Weeks 1-2
Hello all!
Welcome to my senior project blog. I have begun my remote internship at eSafety Systems. This company produces software for construction safety. Currently, I am beginning my training as an intern. My role, thus far, has consisted of learning about the company objectives and becoming familiar with the product and the systems the company uses.
From what I have been told I will be primarily working with marketing materials and doing market research on competition throughout this industry. Using this data and information I will be gathering for my position at eSafety, I will be exploring the usage of AI technology in the safety industry. AI is rapidly growing in every industry. I have seen research in almost every field but this one. I am excited to embark on this incredible journey with eSafety Systems.

Weeks 3-4
Hello again!
It's been another exciting couple of weeks at eSafety Systems. As I continue my internship, I've dived deeper into the company's current marketing strategies and materials. I've been analyzing how eSafety positions itself in the market compared to its competitors. This involves a lot of research and data gathering, which has been both challenging and rewarding.
A significant part of my work these past two weeks has been focused on understanding our competitors. I've been compiling data on what other companies in the construction safety software industry are doing, particularly how they are incorporating AI into their products and services. This research is vital as it helps us identify gaps and opportunities in the market.
One interesting aspect I've discovered is the varied approach different companies take towards AI. While some are heavily invested in predictive analytics and real-time monitoring, others are more focused on automation and enhancing user experience. This diversity has given me a broader perspective on how AI can be utilized in safety technology.
Next week, I plan to start drafting some initial ideas for new marketing materials that highlight eSafety's unique value propositions, especially our AI capabilities. I’m excited to see where this leads and to contribute to the company's growth in a meaningful way.

Weeks 5-6
Hi everyone!!
I can't believe I’m already almost halfway through the internship! These past two weeks, my focus has shifted from research to more hands-on tasks. I've been working closely with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop new promotional content that showcases our AI-powered features.
One of the highlights has been collaborating on a case study (of which I can't disclose the details of) that demonstrates how eSafety's software has significantly improved safety outcomes for a major construction firm. This project allowed me to apply my research in a practical context, linking our AI technology to real-world benefits.
Additionally, I've started exploring some cutting-edge AI trends that could be relevant to our industry. For example, machine learning algorithms that predict potential hazards before they occur and advanced data analytics that provide deeper insights into safety practices. My goal is to identify ways we can incorporate these innovations into our existing product suite.

Weeks 7-8
Hello again,
Another two weeks have flown by, and there's so much to share! My work at eSafety Systems has become increasingly engaging as I’ve started to implement some of the ideas we’ve been developing. I've been focusing on refining our marketing materials to better communicate the benefits of our AI integrations.
One of the most exciting projects was a collaborative effort to develop a webinar on the future of AI in construction safety. This involved coordinating with various team members, creating content, and preparing for the live event.
On the research front, I’ve been delving into the ethical considerations of AI in safety. This is a crucial aspect that often gets overlooked, but ensuring that our AI applications are transparent and unbiased is essential for gaining trust and reliability in the industry.
As I move into the final weeks of my internship, I’m eager to continue building on these initiatives and seeing them through to completion.

Week 9
For the past couple of months, I have been diligently working with eSafety Systems as their newest intern and trainee. Originally I had centered my project around the day-to-day work I have been doing at eSafety. I began with performing market research tasks for the company and compiling reports on the industry and competitors of eSafety. As I began to earn the trust of my superiors they allowed me to make recommendations and consult on the marketing strategy of the company. As eSafety Systems already employs a full-time sales team, they are looking to me for a fresh, younger perspective.
I had planned to make this the focal point of my presentation, but as I began to form my presentation I realized this was not as fresh of a perspective as I had imagined. As much as marketing and social media interest me, I feel that a project simply about this would not do the complex work of eSafety Systems justice. I have decided to focus my project more closely on Artificial Intelligence. AI is the future. I also firmly believe it is the future of this industry particularly.
I am continuing my work with eSafety and I have been working on compiling my data and thoughts into my final presentation these past few weeks.
See you soon!
