If you had to, which Lower School Project Week off If you had to, which Lower School Project Week offering would you choose? 🧭🎒

The one where you:
⛺ Learn to pitch tents and go "camping" in Central Park?
🐦 Track wild birds across NYC or hunt for marine life at the Natural History Museum?
🏟 Engineer your own prototypes or build miniature 3D stadiums?
🥟 Run a culinary "Design Lab"
🎲 Or roll dice to solve galaxy-scale problems in a Star Wars D&D campaign?

Our favorite way to end the year is with three days of hands-on, cross-grade, collaborative, project-based discovery. Honestly, we wish we could participate in all of them, too! 🐾✨

Our grade 4 and 5 students spent weeks preparing f Our grade 4 and 5 students spent weeks preparing for the annual Science Fair, designing parameters and isolating variables. But as any real scientist will tell you, the lab is an unpredictable place.

🍋 The Lemon Battery: Can 5 lemons generate enough voltage to power a lightbulb? Actually, it was lights out.❌
🍨 Coloring Condensed Water Vapor: Does dry ice water vapor change color if you add liquid food coloring? Actually, no. It stays stubbornly white, though it did leave a mysterious, unexpected film all over the kitchen counter. (Sorry, parents! 🧼)
🍬 The Candy Test: Does sour candy taste less intense if you eat sweet candy first? This one was a massive, highly delicious hit—and the data actually backed it up. 📊

Check out the photos to see the triumphs, the brilliant mistakes, and the critical analysis our Wildcats used to reach their final conclusions. Our annual Science Fair is a celebration of student autonomy and independence where the failures teach as much as the breakthroughs! 🧬🐾

From the classroom to Carnegie Hall. 🎹✨ An e From the classroom to Carnegie Hall. 🎹✨

An evening titled “Echoes to Melodies,” featured Wildcat Macey L. (Gr. 5). She performed a breathtaking 45-minute piano solo as part of a concert @carnegiehall’s Zankel Hall, showing how our students are multi-talented and well-rounded.

Her artistic maturity and incredible technical mastery were center stage as she played a complex program featuring classical and modern giants—including pieces by Mendelssohn, Gershwin, and Bolcom.

What’s equally inspiring as Macey’s dedication to her craft was seeing our community of students, teachers, and staff turning out to show their support and cheer her on. We love to see Wildcats supporting Wildcats! 🐾❤️

Double, double, toil and trouble… but make it ro Double, double, toil and trouble... but make it rock! 👑🎸

Grade 5 took on Shakespeare’s legendary Scottish Play this year with confidence, creativity, and Queen. The legendary stadium rock songs moved along the complex plot while our 10- and 11-year-olds delivered dialogue in natural iambic pentameter.

Even more impressive was the student ownership of the production. ⚔️🛡️ From highly coordinated stage combat and dramatic (yet very rehearsed!) murders to the meticulously designed technical lighting and sound production, our students put their unique spin on “Macbeth.” 🎭

Bravo to the incredible cast, crew, and our visionary Drama and Music Subject Expert Teachers!
