Global warming poses an increasing threat, reaching an irreversible stage with our current methods and awareness levels. A notable impact is the rise in ocean levels due to the melting of glacial caps and the thermal expansion of seawater. This project aims to underscore the significant effect of rising ocean levels on our coastal community, recognizing its importance for both our local environment and the planet's future. As the next generation, it is our duty to take action and strive to improve our situation for a sustainable existence. The project will raise awareness through visual representations of 3D models in Unreal Engine, depicting current and future tide levels of the Bay Area using AI. Collaborating with an engineering manager at Cisco and under the guidance of my environmental science teacher at BASIS Independent Fremont, I will measure the impact of ocean levels on nearby communities in the Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, utilizing both physical and digital methods. Furthermore, I plan to gain insights from PG&E regarding the measures they are implementing to counteract these changes. The objective is to inform the public about the detrimental effects of rising ocean levels on our society, infrastructure, and ecosystems.
