Week 9: Are We There Yet?

Why did the marketer dump her boyfriend? Lack of engagement.

Hey, everyone. I’m afraid I don’t have too much of an update to share with you this week, since I haven’t really been able to get too much done. I’m in Anaheim for the DECA ICDC conference, and I’ve been pretty occupied with that. (By which, of course, I mean that I’ve been procrastinating. Just kidding- or am I?)

Anyway, with what time I’ve had, I’ve been looking more into Adalo, the platform I’ll be using to prototype this app. It’s fairly simple to use, and it’s pretty low-code, so things shouldn’t be too hard to set up.

I’m using a pre-made social media template to develop this app, and I’ll throw in some screenshots below so you have an idea of what I’m working with. (They’re from a completely different business – don’t mind that.)

Also – names. I spent some time brainstorming good potential names for the app, and, so far, what I’ve come up with is BizConnect. I am… not a huge fan of that name, so the hunt shall continue!

You know what’s funny? I basically just asked a bunch of businesses what worked for them when it came to marketing, and when they told me social media was useful I turned right around and decided to make my own social media platform.
