AI is becoming an increasingly large part of our lives, from healthcare to household chores. Thus, one of the priorities of AI research is finding more effective methods of human-AI collaboration, which could benefit a wide variety of fields. My research is focused on one specific type of human-AI collaboration: balanced human-AI teaming within a decision-making game. In this experiment, the human player is individually responsible for making each decision, but can choose to incorporate suggestions from the AI assistant into their strategy. My final product will consist of the playable decision-making game with the AI assistant, as well as data analysis comparing the human-AI trials with human-only trials. I am working in collaboration with my advisors Dr. Rob Seater and Jo Kurucar, from MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and Ms. Jaymie Silva.
