Week 7: Surveying The Survey

This week, my advisor and I went through the survey questions another time, optimizing the questions and content in the survey. One of the main goals here was to help clear up wording, keeping in mind that confusing wording may be especially influential given that the target of the survey is young dancers. In particular, aligning the question phrasing better with the answer format was a change we made that I think made the survey a bit more intuitive to answer. Additionally, we assessed the value and relevancy of each question, and removed a couple questions that we felt either did not add much or deviated from the main focus of the survey. I then went through the participant side of the survey, paying careful attention to details that were different than planned. Questions with numerical answers were still able to accept some interesting results, so this will be something for us to resolve while IRB review is still in progress
