AP Research Week 12: Future Areas For Research

Hello everyone! For this weeks blog I’d like to just talk about a few potential areas for future research in relation to the findings presented in my research.

One area for new research could expand upon the city of Brooklyn and instead research on the whole state of New York, which will likely get a bigger sample size and broader population. Additionally, new environmental factors such as urbanization level and education level can be considered in future research as these factors were not accounted for within this study and can be important components to the prevalence of myopia. Genetic factors, as stated previously, can also be included in future studies in order to better understand its relationship with myopia and potentially show how much of an effect genetics can have when considering environmental factors as well.
