AP Research Week 2: Finalizing Results Of Myopia Survey

Hi everyone! This week I will be talking about my progress in regards to gathering data for my survey as well as future plans on how I will be analyzing this data. In my last blog post, I’ve stated that I needed at least 50 responses in order to conclude collecting data for my survey. Since then, I have raised the bar to 100 responses as I needed my data to be as accurate as possible, which 50 responses would not suffice, and reached the goal two days ago!

From the results I have gathered, 55 people who took the survey responded that they did not have a prescription, did not wear glasses, or had 20/20 vision, meaning that their vision is perfectly normal and that they were not myopic/ nearsighted. The other 46 people reported to be either farsighted or nearsighted. In order to ensure that this data is accurate and was not affected by any external factors, my next step is to calculate the statistical significance of this data and analyze the results in more detail.
