Week 10: Thank you Life Story Club!
May 29, 2026
Happy Friday! We are officially in the final stretch of the project! It is such a bittersweet feeling to have everything come to a close, but I am looking forward to sharing all of my hard work soon.
This week was my last week interning with Life Story Club. Although I already shared all of my thank yous with the team, these past two and a half months have been truly special, and I will miss everyone I worked with at Life Story Club and all the older adults who I got to meet with each week. It was a truly unforgettable experience, I encourage everyone to check out, volunteer for, and take part in the organization here.
Today, however, I am actually speaking with a few of my Life Story Club group members to get their opinions on the first draft of my guide. Through these conversations, I hope to get external opinions on the legibility, aesthetic, and clarity of the guide, ultimately making sure that people would realistically apply information from the guide to their real lives.
Once I get a solid draft with the older adults’ thoughts incorporated, I will also be sending it out to the therapists and researchers who I interviewed a few weeks ago, in order to get their professional opinions on it as well. My goal is to finalize my guide early next week as I wrap up these conversations. Then I finally get to share it!
On top of my final deliverable, I have also been focused on my presentation. As I wrap up my internship, I am starting to bring everything together and focus on how to condense the past three months into a 30-minute presentation and convey my final points. That is my focus for the next several days as I prepare for the real thing!
