Week 11

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog! This week I was traveling for college orientation, but I was still able to get some progress on my project. I continued to work on my final presentation and deliverable. I came to conclusions on my project and thought about future research. I spent time this week looking into technological developments for textiles. By looking to nature for resources, people have been able to develop linen like material from bamboo, mushroom leather, and algae yarn. The commercial use of products like this have great potential to transform the sustainable fashion industry if more companies were to utilize them. However, using these materials would be expensive for companies, so future research could include taking an economics standpoint to model for companies how they could use these materials and still make profit. 

This week I will continue practicing my presentation and making final edits for my deliverable so that it’s ready for this week!
