Ms. Abodouma began her educational career after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She initially taught elementary Mathematics at an international school in Cairo, Egypt. After a few years, blending her passion for travel with her professional ambitions, she then moved to Frankfurt, Germany, where she continued teaching Mathematics to higher grades while exploring Europe. In 2007, Ms. Abodouma returned to Egypt to work with students with special educational needs while joining a non-profit initiative to teach basic English and computer skills to underprivileged children in Cairo.

Committed to community service while advancing her career, Ms. Abodouma rejoined her former school as Director of Student Life. There, she developed a student-led, peer-to-peer program aimed at eradicating illiteracy among houseless children in Cairo.

In 2015, Ms. Abodouma and her family moved to the United States. She joined BASIS Independent Silicon Valley as a Subject Expert Teacher in Business, Economics, and Mathematics and was selected as a teacher mentor on the program’s inaugural team.

When BASIS Independent Fremont expanded into a Middle School Program and acquired a new campus, Ms. Abodouma joined as a founding member of the upper school, continuing her role as a Subject Expert Teacher and mentor. In 2022, she became the Associate Head of School, supporting students, families, and staff across both campuses with her extensive knowledge of the BASIS Curriculum, experience as a teacher trainer, and passion for enriching student experiences.

Recently appointed Head of School of the Upper School, Ms. Abodouma’s vision remains centered on academic excellence and student life.

Outside of school, you can find Ms. Abodouma hiking with her family, traveling to new countries, swimming in the Mediterranean, advocating for social justice, enjoying a movie, or reading a book. Interestingly, in the early years of her career, Ms. Abodouma almost pursued a professional career in acting in film and theater alongside education. However, when faced with choosing between the two, she said, “That was a simple choice for me; I chose education.”

Mr. Albert serves as the Facilities Manager at BASIS Independent Fremont, where he coordinates with vendors, supports campus needs, and helps maintain a safe and supportive environment for students and staff. He brings a thoughtful, solutions-focused approach to everything from daily logistics to larger improvement projects.

Outside of facilities work, Mr. Albert teaches high school photography, sharing his passion for both digital and film formats. He enjoys helping students grow their technical skills while encouraging them to express their unique perspectives through the lens.

Mr. Albert holds an MBA and loves to travel. Whether he’s planning a road trip, exploring a new country, or scouting the perfect photo spot, he brings curiosity and creativity to everything he does. Friendly and always up for a quick chat, you’ll often find him saying hi in the traffic loop or helping someone out around campus.

Mr. Bosley began his teaching career in Webster County, Kentucky, after earning a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Over the years, he has taught general and instrumental music at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He later pursued a Master of Music in Woodwind Performance and completed all but his dissertation (ABD) for a Doctor of Arts in Saxophone Performance.

In 2017, Mr. Bosley relocated to California and joined BASIS Independent Fremont (BIF) as the music SET, where he also taught drama. Following the pandemic, he transitioned into administration, first serving as the Middle School Dean of Students at BASIS Independent Fremont Upper School. He went on to become one of the founding Student Affairs members at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley Lower School and was selected as an inaugural member of the Spring Education Group’s Leadership Academy. Most recently, he served as the Director/Principal of Upper School at Stratford Fremont Osgood.

Throughout his 16-year career in education, Mr. Bosley has taught students from transitional kindergarten (TK) through college, always with a deep commitment to student growth, engagement, and success. “Seeing the growth and continued success of our BASIS Independent students gives me high hopes that the world will be a much brighter place,” he reflects. He is now proud to return to where his BASIS journey began, serving as Associate Head of School at BASIS Independent Fremont.

Mr. Bosley is currently completing his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership at the University of the Cumberlands and anticipates earning the title of Dr. Bosley by January 2026.

Outside of school, Mr. Bosley remains an active musician, performing with chamber groups, orchestras, and wind ensembles across the Bay Area. He is also an avid traveler and lifelong supporter of the arts.

Ms. Beuno serves as the Registrar for the Lower School campus at BASIS Independent Fremont, a role she has held since joining our community in 2023. She brings valuable experience to our team, having previously worked as a registrar at a local university where she developed her expertise in student records management and educational administration.

Ms. Beuno is passionate about leveraging data analytics to enhance curriculum development and support student achievement. Her analytical approach to educational data helps inform instructional decisions and drives measurable progress in student outcomes.

When she’s not at school, Ms. Beuno enjoys spending time at the beach and cherishes quality moments with her daughters.

Mr. Danny is the Operations Manager at BASIS Independent Fremont Upper. He has been a valued member of the community since 2022, growing each year in his role and deepening his impact on the school’s day-to-day operations.

Known for his thoughtful approach and commitment to excellence, Mr. Danny enjoys working alongside a dedicated team and being part of a community that prioritizes kindness, growth, and achievement. He plays a key role in ensuring the school runs smoothly, always with an eye toward collaboration and continuous improvement. Mr. Danny is excited to continue fostering a culture of vulnerability, teamwork, and shared success.

Outside of his work on campus, Mr. Danny has recently developed a passion for sewing and karaoke—creative hobbies that reflect his dynamic personality and appreciation for learning new things.

Ms. Haranahalli joined BASIS Independent Fremont following her role as the Academics Lead of a local language school, overseeing their operations while leading a team of more than 20 teachers and student assistants. Within this role, Ms. Haranahalli successfully steered their institution’s transition from in-person programming to a virtual distance learning-based system.

In addition to her experience overseeing academic programming, Ms. Haranahalli has also guided curriculum personally as the author of six educational texts currently being utilized by educational institutions internationally. In addition to her accomplishments in education, Ms. Haranahalli has experience in the non-profit sphere working within marketing and communications, as well as technical writing and software quality assurance engineering.

Head of School Wagoner is a career educator with a wealth of experience in a broad range of educational settings, from elementary school to university. He earned a Master of Arts in Reading Literacy from Ashford University and two Bachelor degrees from Cornell College, one in Elementary Education and another in Sociology. Mr. Wagoner spent several years in Asia instructing scholars across all grade levels in Korea, Japan, and Thailand.

Mr. Wagoner has experience as a Professor of Education, an educational administrator, and as an elementary school teacher. Outside the school building, he was a senior project manager in the educational publishing industry, creating English Language Arts textbooks for the Middle Eastern and Asian markets. He is also an accomplished public speaker, crowned the Korean National Champion of Public Speaking in 2012.

In these roles and throughout his education and career as an educator, Mr. Wagoner has always focused on elementary learning and development. As a Professor of Education, Mr. Wagoner nurtured the young careers of future teachers, training them to implement the latest educational best practices. As the Associate Head of School and Director of the Primary Program at BASIS Independent Fremont, he became known as an empathetic administrator who always puts the needs of students first. As a Dean of Students and LET, Mr. Wagoner displayed exemplary qualities of working with young students to engage and connect students to their academics and guide them in good decision-making.

In addition to his experiences inside the classroom, Mr. Wagoner is a well-practiced educational content creator as the co-author of Powerful Presentations: 6 Steps to Success and Foundations of Education for Mokwon University. He is also a contributing writer and editor for multiple language arts textbooks for young learners. These experiences taught him about the myriad of available resources to meet the diverse needs of learners.

“My strength is in helping students to reflect on how they can and should make good choices to become good members of our community and good citizens of the wider world,” says Mr. Wagoner. “That is what we’re doing here, after all: helping kids grow into responsible adults.”

When he’s not on campus, Mr. Wagoner loves spending time playing board games, reading a good book, or improving his physical and mental health with yoga. His favorite books are science fiction and fantasy because “books have the power to take us to amazing places that can exist only in our minds.”

In 2017, Teacher Jasica received their Bachelor of Arts in English from UC Berkeley. After graduating from UCB, Teacher Jasica dove into the world of private tutoring and leading small writing classes at tutoring centers around Fremont. Eventually, they went on to work at Morgan Autism Center in San Jose before moving on to work as the middle school English and History teacher at New Horizons School in Fremont. In 2021, Teacher Gill continued their academic journey and received a Master’s in Teaching from the University of San Francisco. Their unique graduate program focuses on teaching through the lens of social justice.

Through their graduate school experience, Teacher Jasica solidified their teaching philosophy, which is grounded in culturally responsive teaching (CRT).

“Culturally responsive teaching is a way to bring students’ prior knowledge and cultural capital into the classroom in order to help them work with the skills they already have. My main goal is to empower students to take ownership of their learning by encouraging them to critically question the ideas they come across in literature and come up with meaningful takeaways that will serve them beyond the classroom.”

Aside from teaching, Teacher Jasica enjoys being with their friends, going to concerts and art museums, writing, community organizing, and spending time with their cats. Music is also an integral part of Teacher Jasica’s day-to-day life, and they love finding ways to incorporate music into their classroom as well. They are eager to continue their teaching journey at BASIS Independent Fremont and grow with this unique community.

Ms. Ju is the Dean of Students at BASIS Independent Fremont Lower School. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and joyful environment where every child can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. 

In her role as Dean, Ms. Ju works closely with students, parents, and teachers to help each child succeed. She believes that strong school–home partnerships are essential for student growth. Through programs like Bee Buddies, she encourages students to build confidence, develop positive relationships, and contribute to the school community. 

Ms. Ju began her journey at BASIS Independent Fremont as a Mandarin teacher, building strong relationships with students and families through creativity and care. Today, as Dean, she continues to nurture those connections while guiding students to make good choices, develop resilience, and discover their strengths. In her words, “BASIS Independent Fremont is more than a school—it’s a community, and I’m honored to grow alongside our students and families.”
