Week 10: The Finale
May 15, 2026
Hey everyone! Don’t really have any substantial updates this week as I spent it mostly focused on creating and rehearsing my final presentation. The research portion is done, so now it’s time to take 9 weeks of work and shove it all into a 15 minute presentation. I organized the data, created slides, streamlined my process, and displayed my results. Wrote down a script, minimized it to within the time limit, and spent some time going over everything with my advisors, including performing a practice run.
For creating the slides, I decided I had to include a lot of visualizations in order to get my point across more clearly. PK and PD models are difficult to explain alone, and validation results are much more easy to comprehend the significance of in imagery. I created graphs and tables for my data. This included an image of my PD model model, overlaid with the actual datapoints color coded to match their datasets. Concentration runs along the x-axis and subjective effect intensity along the y-axis. I also created another graph that put the LOO curves in a light blue behind the main full model curve in red, to show the max and min of the hold out results.
The presentation is ready and the work can now be communicated clearly. I will do my best to walk the audience through my project and leave them with a good understanding about how psilocybin gets processed through the body.
