Week 11 - What is a Reflection?

After weeks of researching, writing, and refining: this project has now come to an end. Sad, I know. But, I have one final thing to offer you: some final thoughts on my beloved brain child.

The Future

It has a lot in store for us. We all know how rapid AI is evolving, but imagine all the legal questions that’ll come forth because of it! If I had more time on this project, I would’ve touched more on a meaty statute that we talked about a few times called Section 230. Oh! And liability law. Maybe I would’ve found a way to disagree with Eugene Volokh; but I kinda doubt it since he’s a pretty smart guy. Either way, it would’ve been a fun area of the law to try and parse. 

Infinite Possibilities

The law can have many different answers to a single question. And it turns out that all of them can be right (and sometimes none of them)! Choosing what answers I wanted to go with in this project was difficult, and I knew it’d leave me with a lot of paths unfollowed (evidence of the many, many tabs I have open). If I had a team of 8 other legally inclined friends, I might’ve been able to rally them together to explore those avenues with me, then we could vote on which one was the best. Alas, we’re here with the best answer I could give you, and I wouldn’t have any other way.
