Week 10: All Digital Media Marketed!

Hello everyone! It is crazy to me that we have nearly reached the end of this digital media marketing journey. This week, as I had basically finished the website I focused on creating examples of other forms of digital media marketing for Identity Science. The two other methods of marketing I was truly focused on were email marketing and creating a social media post.  

For most B2B companies, social media posts are often overlooked. However many people forget that leaders in the business industry are influenced by platforms such as Instagram and Twitter. Platforms such as Linkedin can be especially useful as they target professionals between the age range of 45-65 who may be looking for their cloud security needs to be answered. For instance, I created two sample advertisements that can be posted on any of these social media platforms. First, they both have a shock factor to draw potential customers in: “60% Of small businesses fail due to cyber attacks. Defend yourself.” and “There is a cyber attack every 39 seconds.” These both work to show customers why they might need Identity Science’s products. Additionally, on the bottom, I included the iconic Idenity Science catchphrase “Unlock the Power of Privacy” as well as their logo to increase brand awareness. 

Secondly, I worked on email marketing. This form of marketing is especially effective as it is more direct to the target market as they can learn more about Identity Science by just checking their inbox. In my sample email, I included promotions such as “Start Free Trial Today” or “Get 50% off your first payment” to incentivize customers to click on the website. The effective way to measure how well email marketing works is to check click-through rates, or basically how many people visit the website through email. 

Third, I created a blog post. As I mentioned in an earlier senior project blog post, content marketing is especially important to explain the need for a product in the cybersecurity space as a lot of people might not have much information on this niche topic. I wrote a post about cybersecurity and the cloud to explain the need for modern cybersecurity practices that Idenity Science can offer. 

This week, I basically finalized my project and created the final slide show that I will be presenting at the senior project showcase. It has been so great working on this senior project and I am grateful I was able to document and share this experience!
